According to the source, all rescued persons have since been reunited with their families or handed over to relevant authorities.
Lt.-Col. Danjuma Danjuma, spokesman for the Nigerian Army 6 Division in Port Harcourt, disclosed this development in a statement issued on Monday.
Mr Danjuma said the army apprehended 15 persons, dismantled 32 artisanal refineries and seized 14 boats during operations.
It said the feat was achieved in coordinated special clearance operations.
Mr Lagbaja said the troops’ resilience assisted in strengthening the nation’s territorial integrity.
“Troops are still sustaining offensive operations to clear terrorists in the general area.”
Mr Edafe said the victims have since reunited with their families, adding that efforts are in top gear to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
