Troops of the Nigerian Army have destroyed several terrorist camps during ongoing Operation CLEAN SWEEP and rescued a kidnap victim in Katsina.

Troops of the Nigerian Army under Operation Fansan Yamma have raided a terrorists’ hideout and recovered heavy calibre weapons in Dogon Daji of Dandi LGA of Kebbi.
The military said the raid was an offensive code-named Operation Clean Sweep III.
The report said the troops made contact with the terrorists around Dogon Daji in Dandi LGA of Kebbi on Sunday during an offensive operation.
According to the report, the plan is designed to lure the soldiers into an ambush where they will be killed and their weapons seized.
In Edo, troops of the 322 Artillery Regiment arrested five suspected kidnappers in Emaudo, Esan West council area.
Mr Onoja said the operations significantly degraded criminal capabilities.
The military said its precision airstrike around Kirta and Arina Ciki killed several terrorist commanders, including Khalifa Umar, a member of the ISWAP Shura Council.
He said ongoing operations had already generated actionable intelligence.
