She said the LGAs covered were Kubau, Zaria, Kauru, Sabon Gari, Kudan, Makarfi, Giwa, Ikara, Soba and Lere.
Mr Akase noted that Lassa fever, meningitis, cholera, malaria, tuberculosis among others were affecting the country
According to him, the state currently is supposed to have an estimated number of 32,000 people living with HIV/AIDS.
He said 9,941 cases were detected in the last quarter of 2022, the highest quarterly TB notification figure ever in Nigeria.
“We are going to devise new mechanisms and approaches in our engagements and fight against HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria control in our country.”
According to him, malaria is endemic in the country and only concerted effort can eliminate it.

Mr Dimang said the positive cases were detected from hospitals and outreaches conducted in the state.
The grant is to assist Nigeria in the fight against tuberculosis (TB), malaria, and HIV/AIDS for the next three years commencing January 2024.
Anambra has the highest burden of TB drug resistance cases and childhood TB contribution in the South-East and Nigeria.
