The federal government of Nigeria has advocated for internationally harmonised laws on cyber-enabled organised immigration crimes.
The minister described the incident as unfortunate and vowed to ensure all fleeing inmates are captured.
He attributed the increase to some measures adopted by the ministry to close leakages.
He noted that the move was a demonstration of government’s determination to sanitise the mining sector.
According to the group, the minister’s ” ongoing reforms ” align with President Bola Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’.
Ruling on the case, Rose Soji, the tribunal’s chairman, promised that all applications would be accommodated and decided upon according to the law.
