The U.S. said it targeted missile launch facilities and Iranian boats allegedly attempting to deploy naval mines around the Strait of Hormuz.
The command also noted that the situation is fluid and will withhold additional information, including the identity of the soldiers who were killed in action.

The vessel was attacked on June 12 while it was sailing off the coast of Yemen.
A statement by the Security Media Cell, a media outlet affiliated with the Iraqi Joint Operations Command, explained that the explosion was from an ammunition and missile depot.
