The spokesman for the command, Bright Edafe, stated this in a statement on Tuesday in Warri.
He reiterated the command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
Mr Edafe said that the CP-SAT was led in the operation by ASP Julius Robinson, following credible information.
Mr Edafe said that the exhibits were hidden inside the roof of the suspect’s one-room apartment.
The CP gave a breakdown of the recoveries to include four AK-47 rifles, 138 assorted ammunition and cartridges.
The police said that the suspected gun supplies for the kidnap gang launched an attack in a bid to free his colleagues.
Okuama had been in the news over the unfortunate killing of 17 army officers and soldiers in the community.
Mr Edafe said the police received a distress call that some suspected armed robbers were carrying out a robbery operation in the Aladja community.
The command’s spokesman, SP Bright Edafe, said the suspect was neutralised on Thursday by a special squad deployed to Ughelli North Local Government Area (LGA).
