Aston Villa are the 2025/26 Europa League champions after defeating Freiburg 3-0 in the final on Wednesday in Istanbul.
Villa thrashed Forest 4-0 to reach the Europa League final, while Oliver Glasner’s Eagles beat Shakhtar 2-1 and 5-2 on aggregate to reach their first-ever Conference League final.
Villa said it has formally written to Maccabi Tel Aviv and UEFA, informing them that no visiting fans will be allowed for the game.
Despite Villa’s formidable home form, Chelsea began brightly and needed just nine minutes to break the deadlock.
The former Arsenal manager, who newly took over from sacked Steve Gerrard, led Villa to their first home victory against United since 1995.
The new manager replaces Steven Gerrard, who was sacked last week.
