CADI, in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund, has trained 87 district heads in Sokoto State on addressing harmful social norms.
The app is designed to build healthcare workers’ capacity and strengthen safe childbirth practices.
The commissioner described the collaboration as a milestone for the state.
The five-day training was organised by UNFPA in collaboration with the Lagos State Government and Action Health Incorporated (AHI).
Ms Abubakar said the initiative empowered adolescents with vital knowledge about reproductive health, personal responsibility, and how to access healthcare services.
She said menstrual hygiene remained a major concern for adolescent girls in the state.
He called for the integration into the school curriculum of a subject/course to promote healthy practices among young girls.
Mr Magaji said that the training would enhance the management of GBV and adolescent health concerns.
Ms Oga said the action could result in thousands of unwanted pregnancies and unsafe abortions on the continent.
The celebration marks the first observation of the International Day of Women and Girls of African Descent.
