Market capitalisation rose by N479 billion, or 0.52 per cent, to close at N92.730 trillion, compared with N92.251 trillion on Wednesday.
The NGX All-Share Index rose by 0.90 per cent to close at 109,710.37 points.
Market capitalisation rose by N318 billion or 0.49 per cent, closing at N65.817 trillion compared with Thursday’s figure of N65.499 trillion.
The All Share Index (ASI) rose by 71.64 basis points.
Analysts attributed the rebound to investors’ reaction to the third quarter results released by some companies at the exchange recently.
Similarly, the market capitalisation rose by two billion naira.
The bearish mood was occasioned by profit-taking in Guaranty Trust and 15 other stocks.
An analysis of the price movement chart shows that 28 stocks posted gains in contrast with 10 laggards.
The market closed negative with 11 gainers in contrast with 23 losers.
The loss was driven by price depreciation in large- and medium-capitalised stocks: Guaranty Trust Bank, University Press, Zenith Bank, Sterling Bank, and Honeywell Flour Mill.
