Ms Oti served as INEC’s returning officer in the election that brought Mr Otti to power. The governor said the gesture was in recognition of her courage, integrity and commitment.
According to him, 148 were detained for armed robbery.
The minister said the Federal Ministry of Works would support the police with fuel and allowances to strengthen patrol operations on the route.
“An 18-year-old male was arrested for allied offences involving power and communications infrastructure vandalism,” Mr Afolabi said.
NISO, however, did not specify which gas network was vandalised.
He urged stakeholders to sensitise their subjects on the need to stay away from power transmission cables.
According to him, when a single line is vandalised, the entire network linked to it is destabilised.
The minister lamented that underperformance by electricity distribution companies (DisCos) was derailing sector-wide progress.
The state NSCDC boss said the items recovered from Mr Agbo included a saw, chisel, spanner and other instruments used for vandalism.
“The growing trend of vandalism targeting transmission lines and towers…hindering the expansion and stability of the national grid,” said TCN.
