The Nigerian stock market began the week on a positive note, as investors gained N443 billion amid renewed buying interest.
Meanwhile, the market breadth closed positive with 39 gainers against 34 losers.
Market capitalisation rose by N377 billion or 0.58 per cent to close at N65.847 trillion, compared with N65.470 trillion posted on Wednesday.
Specifically, the Nigerian Exchange Ltd market capitalisation declined by N659 billion or 1.01 per cent, falling to N65.488 trillion from N66.147 trillion recorded on Friday.
“In the past 11 years, we have been in this sector, and we have been profitable,” he said.
