As part of the fleet recapitalisation effort of the federal government, the Nigerian Navy has signed a memorandum of understanding with Dearsan Shipyard Turkey.
He, however, commended the heads of navies and coast guards as well as foreign allies for the useful cooperation.
He noted that the operations resulted in a considerable reduction of piracy in Nigeria’s maritime domain.
The graduates comprise 17 Naval officers, two Air Force officers, two Army officers and one Cameroonian Navy officer.
Mr Onyemaeze assured that the navy would not relent in putting an end to activities of economic saboteurs and other illegalities on Akwa Ibom waterways.
