Nigeria and the UK have pledged to deepen cooperation on several fronts, including defence, trade, migration, and cybersecurity.
The session will hold from Monday, September 22, to Sunday, September 28.
Mr Shettima said the president “embarked on bold and inevitable reforms to address structural weaknesses that others before us only paid lip service to.”
Mr Shettima, who urged the architects to support the current administration, described Mr Tinubu as “a compassionate leader who won’t even want to hurt a fly.”
Mr Shettima particularly noted Nigeria’s commitment to regional cooperation and to the African Union’s 2050 Integrated Maritime Strategy.
Mr Tinubu said Nigeria will replicate the agreements signed with Brazil on aviation and consular issues with Colombia.
He emphasised that Africa must build and own its security framework to ensure long-term peace and stability.
The former lawmaker cautioned against mixing religion with politics.
Mr Ododo noted that the gesture demonstrated the vice president’s commitment to the values of unity and compassion.
Mr Shehu stated that the commission had begun reviewing Nigeria’s controversial revenue-sharing formula.
