The Federal Road Safety Corps has confirmed that four people died, while nine others were injured in a crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Sunday.
She advised motorists to drive within the stipulated speed limit.
A lone car crash around Isara Remo, along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, has killed two children.Â
Ms Okpe said the accident occurred at 2:38 p.m., attributing it to speeding and loss of control.
Meanwhile, the state sector commander of FRSC, Ahmed Umar, sympathised with the families of the victims.
The FRSC official said 27 passengers comprising 25 men, two women and a female child were involved in the accident, out of which seven were burnt beyond recognition.
FRSC spokesman Florence Okpe said that the accident occurred at 7:10 a.m. on Friday.
The accident was caused by road obstruction by a Mack truck and excessive speed and loss of control by a Toyota Hiace bus driver.
Mr Okpe noted that the lone accident occurred due to total violation of road safety traffic laws by the vehicle owner.
He stated that the Nissan car, marked LSR 377 BL, had a tyre burst due to the high speed, which led to the loss of control.
