The LP stalwart said that the call on Messrs Obi and Abubakar became necessary in order to foster national unity and integration.
The appeal was dismissed following its dramatic withdrawal by Mr Margif upon discovery that the matter had become statute-barred.
The LP in Plateau had been in crisis following the emergence of two guber candidates, Yohanna Margif and Patrick Dakum.
The police said Mr Margif was arrested for issuing dud cheque to a business partner.
Mr Margif was one of the 10 aspirants that bought the APC N50 million expression of interests/nominations before he left the party.
