Rema thrills O2 Arena audience; addresses allegations of using satanic symbols in his songs

Nigerian Afrobeat artist Divine Ikubor, professionally known as Rema, achieved a sold-out performance at the O2 Arena on November 14. The event featured stellar performances by Marvin artists Ayra Starr, Magixx, and Crayon. The artist’s performance on the main stage of the O2 Arena sparked renewed accusations of satanic references in his music.

Certain attendees of the show took to social media, accusing Rema of incorporating “Illuminati” symbols and expressing concerns about potential connections to satanism.

Rena addressed the allegations via his X handle, directly responding to the allegations by explaining that the artificial horse featured in his stage performance was a replica of a Benin artefact.

He clarified that the mask he wore was also a reproduction of the renowned Queen Idia mask.

Cassie settles lawsuit accusing Sean Combs of rape, abuse

Sean Combs and the singer Cassie have reached a settlement just one day after she filed a lawsuit accusing the hip-hop record producer of rape and numerous instances of physical abuse.

Casandra Ventura, popularly known as Cassie, had filed a suit in the Federal District Court in Manhattan on Thursday, accusing Diddy of plying her with drugs and alcohol, forcing her to have sex with male prostitutes, and raping and beating her shortly after meeting her in 2005 until 2018.

The parties announced on Friday evening that they had reached an agreement to resolve the case, though they disclosed no details about the terms of the settlement.

Jada Pinkett Smith contemplates legal action over allegations against Will Smith

Jada Pinkett Smith has issued a legal threat against Brother Bilaal, who accused her estranged husband, Will Smith, of engaging in sexual activities with actor Duane Martin. Bilaal, claiming a 40-year friendship with Smith and asserting to be his former assistant, made these allegations on the Unwine With Tasha K podcast, stating he witnessed the purported incident during the filming of Fresh Prince.

In response to these claims, Jada Pinkett dismissed them as ridiculous, malicious, and salacious during an appearance on The Breakfast Club radio show. The 52-year-old actress declared the intention to pursue legal action, emphasising the distinction between expressing opinions and fabricating baseless and scandalous stories.

Mohbad: Police release Naira Marley, Sam Larry on bail

Musician and label owner Naira Marley and Socialite Samson Balogun Sam Larry were released from police custody in Lagos State after meeting their bail conditions. They had been held in connection with the controversial death of rapper Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, in October.

The Yaba Magistrate’s Court granted them bail on Nov. 6 with conditions, including a sum of N20 million and weekly reporting to the State’s Criminal Investigation Department.

Mohbad’s death prompted nationwide protests, leading to a coroner’s inquest ordered by the Lagos State government. Preliminary findings named an auxiliary nurse, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, as the prime suspect, alleging that injections administered by Ogedengbe at Mohbad’s home contributed to his death.

The police commissioner, Idowu Owohunwa, stated that an altercation at a concert on Sept. 10 led to injuries and subsequent management issues, resulting in Mohbad’s death on Sept. 12.
