Tinubu speaks to Nigerians every day, presidency claims

Daniel Bwala, special adviser to President Bola Tinubu, says the Nigerian leader communicates with educated Nigerians on social media, particularly on X (formerly Twitter), every day.
Mr Bwala made the statement in an interview on ARISE TV.
The development follows President Donald Trump’s order that the U.S. Department of War prepare for a possible military invasion of Nigeria if the Nigerian government “continues to allow the killing of Christians”.
Prior to the threat, Mr Trump designated Nigeria as a ‘country of particular concern‘, over allegations of Christian genocide.
When asked why Mr Tinubu has not “addressed Nigerians” on TV or radio concerning the issue, Mr Bwala said, “I want to assume that the Nigerians you’re referring to are Nigerians that need more education, about communication.”
“If the president speaks to Nigerians through tweets, is that not a communication? If the president tweets, is that not a communication? If the president issues a statement, is that not a communication?”
Mr Bwala added, “There is the State House Press Corps that reports daily about the daily activities of the president, including the visual coverage of the president’s engagements with people.“
