Tinubu’s door-to-door movement suspends campaign over plane crash

The President Bola Tinubu Door-to-Door Movement has suspended its campaign activities for one week following the killing of military operatives in an aircraft crash.
Its national coordinator, Sunday Asuku, confirmed the suspension in a statement on Tuesday.
Mr Asuku said the movement’s grand patron, Government Ekpemupolo, aka Tompolo, described the crash as a painful and monumental loss to the Armed Forces and the nation.
Mr Ekpemupolo said the deceased officers paid the ultimate price in the line of duty while serving the country with courage, patriotism and commitment.
He expressed condolences to President Bola Tinubu, the armed forces, the Ondo government and people, and the families, friends and colleagues of the deceased.
He commended the Nigerian Air Force, Nigerian Navy, first responders and residents for their efforts in the search and rescue operations. He called on military authorities to conduct a thorough and transparent investigation into the cause of the crash to prevent similar occurrences.
