The governor, who expressed support for the new agric ministers, said that Nigeria has vast arable land with enough water bodies.
The farmers said the measure would enhance wealth creation and food security.
He said that each beneficiary would be given two bags of 50 kilogramme (kg) of NPK and one bag of Urea fertiliser.
“The minister needs to have stakeholders’ engagement to fully understand the agricultural ecosystem beyond farming.”
He noted that the meat from open vans could be easily contaminated, causing diseases for whoever consumes such beef.
He, however, assured the state government of more support from the institute as it partners with it to deliver on its mandates.
Mr Sule-Ugboma said the farm, sitting on 20 hectares of land, had lost a fortune to the flood disaster.
The extra checks on Japanese food exports to Switzerland and Liechtenstein were imposed after the Fukushima nuclear disaster 12 years ago.
