Mr Shettima announced fresh incentives to boost agricultural investment under Mr Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The initiative aims to support smallholder farmers in the rice and cassava value chains, thereby enhancing their productivity.
The federal government states that it is collaborating with relevant stakeholders to expedite the relocation of cattle grazing in the Abuja city centre to designated grazing reserves.
According to him, agriculture contributes about 24 per cent of Nigeria’s GDP.

He, therefore, reassured of his administration’s continuous collaboration with the private sector to drive an agricultural revolution in the state.
The commissioner urged the farmers to make judicious use of the inputs to enhance productivity.
The aim of the project is to equip farmers to be acquainted with current market trends.
He said Nigeria faces ongoing challenges with several priority livestock diseases.
Mr Abdullahi disclosed that the inputs being distributed include herbicides, cocoa fertiliser, fungicides, knapsack sprayers, growth enhancers, and tomato seeds.
