Abdulkadir Gaya has emerged as the new president of the National Association of Sorghum Producers, Processors, and Marketers of Nigeria.
Worth N2.3 billion, the initiative aims to combat poverty and promote economic self-reliance, according to a statement by the governor’s spokesperson.

Mr Adesina noted that the bank and its partners were supporting the Federal Government and implementing a $538 million programme for the development of SAPZ in seven states.
He said this would create direct and indirect jobs.
He added that proper funding would enable mushroom growers to upgrade their infrastructure.
The frontline extension workers were drawn from five states – Kano, Jigawa, Kebbi, Bauchi, and Adamawa.
The collaboration is also expected to encourage efforts to unlock the healthcare value chain for effective transformation.
