The closure was announced just days after armed bandits attacked a Christ Apostolic Church in Eruku, killing three worshippers and abducting several others.
“This painful moment strengthens our resolve. Our children deserve to learn in safety,” said Mr Alausa.
“Government must spare no effort to immediately return all our abducted schoolgirls of Maga, remaining Dapchi and Chibok girls in captivity and other places,” said JNI.
“The measures also cover boarding schools in Irepodun, which could be targets of the criminals who are running for cover amidst widening security operations,” the government said.

Abuja boarding and day schools are charging between N120,000 and N200,000 to register students who have gained admission.
The recruitment was announced in a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature, on Wednesday.
