President Bola Tinubu’s government has restated its commitment to sustain the execution of developmental projects in the South-East.
Mr Yilwatda reassured stakeholders of the government’s commitment to working with partners to ensure that no one was left behind.
At least 1,844 people were killed in the South-East between January 2021 and June 2023, Amnesty International Nigeria revealed in its latest report.
The “horrific” security crisis in the South-East claimed the lives of “thousands and led to the enforced disappearance and displacement of hundreds of people”.
“This challenge was termed ‘code coverage conflicts and related glitches’ but gave assurance that the issue would be sorted out very soon,” the commission said.
Governor Peter Mbah laid the foundation stone for the construction of a 5,000-shop-capacity Nsukka International Market on Saturday.
The Enugu State Internal Revenue Service says that 99 per cent of the informal sector does not remit taxes to government coffers.
“This action will serve as a warning, as Governor Peter Mbah will not compromise on the quality of healthcare delivery,” said the commissioner.
Mr Mbah restated that the government was empowering rural farmers and food producers by integrating them into the supply chain and partnering with local communities.
