Ex-Governor Sullivan Chime has endorsed Peter Mbah, the PDP candidate, in the March 11 governorship election.
Kelvin Chibuzor Chukwu has been chosen as the Labour Party candidate for Enugu East senatorial zone in the March 11 rescheduled senatorial election.
The APGA guber candidate further claimed that the PDP had told security agencies to stay away from the polling units so they can cause mayhem.
The result was announced the results early Monday morning at Nsukka INEC office.
Electoral chief Mahmood Yakubu said during a press briefing in Abuja on Friday afternoon that the election in Enugu East will now hold on March 11.
“But (the) majority of the polling units commenced the process behind schedule and some even at 10:30 a.m., two hours late.”
“As PFN, the increase in killings is condemnable, and we appeal to our brothers and sisters who are against each other to sheathe their swords.”
“Once we load sensitive materials, the trucks accompanied by security and INEC officials will get the election result sheets from the Central Bank of Nigeria.”
Mr Chinade warned trouble-makers to steer clear of the zone, as the Nigeria Army was “highly prepared and motivated to give them a bloody nose.”
On Sunday, APC members in Enugu West senatorial zone defected to PDP in support of its guber candidate, Peter Mbah.
