The Kano State Fire Service said three female passengers died while 13 others were injured when a commercial bus caught fire on Tuesday.
Those kidnapped are the village head’s wife, Halima Kabiru, 38, and Dahiru Kabiru, 20.
The police command in Kano has arrested a man, Philibus Ibrahim, for strangling his 22-year-old pregnant girlfriend, Theresa Yakubu.
The Kano executive council has approved the appointment of Lekan Balogun, the Olubadan of Ibadan, as the chancellor of the state-owned Sa’adatu Rimi University of Education.
The fire trucks will be stationed at the Abuja, Kano and Lagos airports.
Mr Ganduje will inaugurate the committee on Tuesday.
It warned that from March 18 to May 29, no lender, domestic or international, should grant any loan facility to the incumbent Kano State Government.
The disappearance follows the injection of more bank notes by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) into commercial banks.
“Today, it (INEC) has issued the pronounced winner with (a) certificate of return. I have taken it in good faith,” said Mr Gawuna.
“INEC should, as a matter of national urgency, review the outcome of the election, have a retraction of its position and look in the direction of conducting a supplementary election.”
