A 31-year-old Boko Haram fighter, Ahmadu Buba, was arrested in Garkida, said the army.
The source said the terrorists launched coordinated attacks on September 18 to overrun the communities and destabilise them.
“Nigeria is responsible for grave and systematic violations of women’s and girls’ rights amid multiple mass abductions,” the UN report said.
The police spokesman said a preliminary investigation revealed that the victims were unlawfully taken from Maiduguri by one Aliga Suleiman.
This, according to him, includes the deployment of advanced military hardware and surveillance equipment to eliminate terrorist groups across the country.
The UN resident and humanitarian coordinator called on security authorities to apprehend the perpetrators of “this heinous attack and swiftly bring them to justice”.
Boko Haram terrorists on Friday raided Darul Jamal, a community in Borno State, killing at least 60 people.
Mr Ejodame said the strikes destroyed key structures and inflicted significant losses on the terrorists.
The National Counter-Terrorism Centre, Office of the National Security Adviser, states that Nigeria has conducted eight phases of terrorism-related trials, resulting in 775 convictions.
