Boko Haram terrorists have surrendered to troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) in the ongoing ‘Operation Lake Sanity II’.
Mr Lagbaja said this in an interview with journalists in Maiduguri.
A cross-section of the farmers and fishermen made the call in separate interviews at the Muna Camp in Maiduguri.
In a speech at the event held at Muna Camp, Mr Zulum said the exercise was coming three years after IDPs in official camps were resettled back to their homes.
Mr Buba said the troops also rescued 4,641 hostages, while 1,437 suspected oil thieves were apprehended within the period under review.
The Yobe government on Wednesday said repentant Boko Haram members are assisting in counterinsurgency operations in the state.
The force commander, Ibrahim Ali, said this at a news conference in Maiduguri on Tuesday.
“Amnesty International condemns Boko Haram’s latest vicious killing of at least 75 persons during a deadly attack on Tuesday targeting fishermen at Tunbun Rogo.”
According to the fleeing resident, the terrorists called the locals together on Thursday morning and gave them a warning.
