The protesters’ spokesman, Abdullahi Bako, said they were demanding to hold a congress to determine the association’s future and conduct a fresh election.
“Your Excellency, we wish to table before you that at this moment, there are some pensioners who are still receiving N4,000 as pension,” said NLC.
He stated that the MNJTF welcomes more insurgents to surrender and embrace peace.
“Taking the security tips seriously will enhance your safety,” the NYSC DG said while addressing corps members at the Borno orientation camp in Maiduguri.
The ambassador of the State of Qatar to Nigeria, Ali-bin Ghanem Al-Hajri, made this known on Thursday in Maiduguri during a courtesy visit to Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno.
The troops said the airstrikes led “to the reduction in terrorism and other forms of cross-border crimes perpetrated by criminals crisis-crossing the borders to evade justice.”
Two IEDs, two phones and N53,000 cash were recovered from them.
The power supply to Maiduguri from the national grid has been affected since January when insurgents destroyed some of the transmission towers.

The Defence Headquarters says troops neutralised no fewer than 2,352 terrorists, apprehended 2,308 and rescued 1,241 kidnapped hostages between January and March.
