The Kano lawmaker representing Gwale constituency, Abdulmajid Fata, has dumped the APC for the Nigeria Democratic Congress after losing his re-election bid.
“My sister was abducted and held for three years. This issue is personal to me in ways very few public officials can understand,” Mr Hayatu-Deen stated.
Mr Hayatu-Deen has cautioned ADC against playing what he described as “the same old politics” ahead of the 2027 elections.
Residents of Kano have expressed concern over the persistent heatwave sweeping across the state and other parts of the North.
