The police commissioner in Bayelsa has underscored the need for collaboration with the Joint Task Force, South-South, and Operation Delta Safe to enhance security.
Mr Wike warned that Rivers was a “no-go area” for politicians outside the state.
According to Ms Iringe-Koko, the suspects have been detained and are cooperating with investigators.

Mr Ezekwe explained that Mr Wike gave Rivers women a voice and financial independence, pledging solidarity behind the minister.
He alleged that Mr Fubara had refused to keep all the terms of the pact reached.
The deputy speaker of the Rivers Assembly, Dumle Maol, assured Mr Wike that the people of Gokana would be with him every step of the way.
Mr Wike questioned Mr Fubara’s ability to lead the party, saying his defection lacked a political structure and mass support.
INEC has fixed February 21, 2026, for the conduct of by-elections into the Ahoada II and Khana II constituencies of Rivers.
