The secretary to the state government, Tammy Danagogo, said this in a letter addressed to the speaker of the Rivers assembly in Port Harcourt.
The former council chairpersons in Rivers who were sacked in 2015 under Governor Nyesom Wike’s administration have vowed to take over 23 LGAs.
The plenary also deliberated on the annulled local government election by the Supreme Court.

The police alleged that the suspects also robbed security guards of their phones and money.

Mr Adedigba confirmed that 14 of the victims were from Akwa Ibom, while one each came from Cross River and Delta.
The four appeals are the Rivers House of Assembly and others against the Rivers government and nine others.
