SDP presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo has promised to redirect trillions of naira from lavish political lifestyles to public education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa says Oba Ewuare II’s 10-year reign has strengthened unity among the Benin people and sustained the kingdom’s cultural identity.
Some residents who spoke in separate interviews on Tuesday urged peaceful, hitch-free campaigns.
“We must be loyal to Mr President. You know, every good Nigerian, irrespective of political affiliation, must respect Mr President,” said the lawmakers.
Mr Bianki made the observation on Monday at a public presentation in Abuja of the English edition of his book, ‘Politics in Nigeria: Elites and Voters’.
The Kano State House of Assembly has summoned lawmaker Yusuf Bello-Aliyu (NNPP-Nassarawa) over alleged remarks and insults widely circulated on social media.
“To my son, Seyi, I have watched what you have started with the City Boy Movement. You did it quietly. You did it humbly. You did not ask for a title or an office,” said Mr Tinubu.
“President Tinubu commended Nwakuche and Nandap for the reforms achieved under their leadership and charged them to consolidate these gains,” the presidency said.
The politician noted that his decision followed careful reflection.
The candidate added that the SDP was committed to transforming Lagos’ political landscape through people-oriented policies.
