The appeal came during a state consultative meeting held on Monday in Lokoja.

Justice Obiora Egwuatu, in a ruling on Monday, held that the motion on notice lacked merit.
“This is a case of corruption fighting back. We are introducing reforms, accountability and discipline into the system, and some persons are resisting change,” Mr Olumoroti stated.
Mr Bawa-Niworo was abducted on September 29, 2025.
The plaintiff and INEC did not appear in court for the second consecutive time.
The announcement followed the sentencing of the suspects.
According to the group, this pattern of human rights violations is increasingly becoming the norm.
