Nigeria’s bid to co-host the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2027 with Benin Republic has been unsuccessful.
Sports minister John Owan-Enoh says Nigeria will present a bid to host the 2027 AFCON at the CAF executive committee meeting in Cairo on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old crossed the line in two hours, 11 minutes, and 53 seconds.
He said Tinubu made the right decision in creating a separate ministry for sports.
The assembly directed the officials to appear before its committee as a proactive measure against future occurrence of the situation.
