“The APC is a sinking ship in Ogun State. No amount of padding—whether of election figures, contracts, or political theatrics—can stop their downfall,” Mr Adebutu said.
The group said Mr Adeleke’s achievements and personal qualities helped him win the keenly contested election.
Yiaga Africa said the Osun election demonstrated that INEC could meet a high operational standard, apply the Electoral Act 2026 and transmit results transparently.
He urged the governor to unite the people of the state and mobilise them for growth, stability and socio-economic progress, irrespective of their political choices.
“An election cannot be said to have been concluded without exploring all constitutionally allowed legal opportunities to correct anomalies,” the APC said.
Mr Adeleke observed a minute’s silence for victims of the pre-election violence and urged community leaders and traditional institutions to embark on peace-building initiatives.
The chairman highly commended INEC, security agencies and civil society groups.
He said that the outcome of the election was a reflection of Accord’s strength.
Mr Kubiangha reiterated NYSC’s commitment to the safety and welfare of corps members.
Mr Adeleke defeated his closest opponent, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, who scored 444,815 votes.
