13 clubs to participate in 2nd South-East Table Tennis Championship

A total of 13 table tennis clubs are set to take part in the second Cosmilla Table Tennis Championship for the South-East.
The coordinator of the championship, Bonny Akunna, told journalists in Awka on Wednesday that this year’s edition was an improvement on the first edition, which had 10 clubs.
He said the ping pong game was being organised in collaboration with Demilla Sparkling Wine.
He said that the championship, which would have clubs from Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo states, would be held between February 27 and March 1, at the indoor hall, Cosmilla Hotels and Suites in Awka.
Mr Akunna said that cash prizes ranging from N150,000 to N400,000 would be won, with other consolation awards.
He said, “We are ready for the competition; 13 table tennis clubs from across the South-East have registered to participate.
“It promises to be bigger and better in terms of organisation and quality of competition.”
