2023: Deregistered parties, others endorse Lagos PDP guber candidate Jandor

The Conference of Registered and Deregistered Political Parties (CPP) in Lagos has endorsed PDP governorship candidate Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor) ahead of the 2023 general elections.
CPP chair Akin Badmus said the endorsement became imperative following the dearth of dividends of democracy in Lagos and the need to unite with the main opposition party to unseat the ruling APC.
“Today, the entire 30 political parties comprising registered and deregistered, and as such, direct all our followers to begin a massive campaign for the PDP in Lagos state,” the CPP leader announced.
Mr Badmus, also the Lagos chairman of the Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM), said the group, spread across the 20 local governments and 37 local council development areas, resolved to throw their weight behind Mr Adediran and PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.
He said the decision to adopt Mr Adediran was based on his determination to eradicate the hardship inflicted on Lagos residents.
“This is the time: PDP is taking over. APC is no longer the choice of Lagos residents. We believe in the candidacy of Jandor, who has been going all round Lagos, visiting ail the 245 wards for his electioneering campaign, a feat that has never been done by any politician in the history of Lagos,” the CPP chair claimed.
The representatives in attendance for the endorsement were Action People’s Party (APP), Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), Justice Must Prevail Party, People’s Trust Party, Fresh Democratic Party, Save Nigeria Congress and National Unity Party. Others were the National Democratic Party, National Interest Party, Communist Party of Nigeria, Rebuild Nigeria Party, Movement of the People, etc.
