2023: Zamfara women pledge to mobilise support for Tinubu, Matawalle

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Professional Council on Friday promised to mobilise support for the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and Governor Bello Matawalle in the 2023 general elections.
Zamfara State coordinator of the group, Barira Ibrahim, made the pledge while addressing a crowd of APC women groups at a rally in Gusau, the state capital.
“As state Coordinator, I am happy to announce that we are going to mobilise and ensure that all women in our localities vote for all APC candidates,” she said.
Ms Ibrahim noted that it had long been a tradition in the state that women played vital roles during elections.
“Therefore, we must declare support for candidates with good plans for women,” she said, recounting the group’s support for the ruling party in past elections.
Ms Ibrahim stated that women in Zamfara agreed to participate in politics and ensure that they vote for the ruling party in the general elections.
“Zamfara is already home of APC, therefore, no seat should be left to the opposition parties.
“No seat should be left to the opposition parties in the upcoming 2023 general elections,” she explained.
She further lauded Mr Matawalle for women’s inclusion in decision-making processes in the state.
Ms Barira also appreciated the Zamfara governor’s wife, Aisha Bello Matawalle, for uplifting women’s lives in the state.
