American Grammy award-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar dominates the 2024  BET Hip-Hop awards, claiming eight awards, including major categories like Hip-Hop Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for his track ‘Not Like Us’, and Lyricist of the Year.

His collaboration with Future and Metro Boomin on ‘Like That’ also earned him Best Collaboration and Sweet 16: Best Featured Verse.

However, the ceremony was not without surprises.

Despite receiving nominations, Nigerian stars Burna Boy and Odumodublvck, considered strong contenders, left the event empty-handed. 

Burna Boy was nominated for Best Live Performer, competing with Kendrick, Cardi B, and Travis Scott. Odumodublvck was in the running for Best International Flow.

The event held Tuesday night was hosted by Fat Joe, who returned as host for the third consecutive year, also serving as a co-executive producer. 

The show celebrated some of the biggest names in hip-hop, with Megan Thee Stallion leading the nominations, followed by Kendrick Lamar and Drake.
