2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream I: Edo hosts 1,900 corps members

The National Youth Service Corps has deployed 1,900 prospective corps members to Edo for the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream I service year.
NYSC coordinator in Edo, Frances Ben-Ushie, disclosed this in a statement in Benin on Thursday.
Ms Ben-Ushie said that preparations have been concluded to receive the new corps members at the Permanent Orientation Camp in Okada, Ovia North East LGA.
She said the orientation course would commence with the formal opening and swearing-in ceremony on Friday, April 25, at 9:00 a.m.
”The executive governor of Edo, Senator Monday Okpebholo, is expected to declare the orientation course open, while the chief judge of the state will administer the oath of allegiance to the corps members,” she said.
The coordinator appreciated the people of Edo for their continued hospitality towards corps members and appealed for continued support throughout the service year.
”We are grateful to the good people of Edo for always welcoming corps members with open arms. We ask for your continued support to help these young Nigerians have a productive and memorable service year,” she added.
The NYSC boss assured that all necessary logistics and arrangements had been made to ensure a smooth and safe orientation exercise.
