The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has inspected accommodation facilities for Kano State pilgrims in Makkah as part of preparations for the 2026 Hajj exercise.

The board’s director-general, Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle, said the inspection forms part of early arrangements to ensure intending pilgrims are provided with safe, comfortable, and well-organised accommodation during the pilgrimage.

This is contained in a statement by the board’s public relations officer, Sulaiman Dederi, on Sunday in Kano.

The statement said, “The inspection tour seeks to ensure availability of essential services required to support pilgrims throughout their stay in the Holy City.

“The need to maintain high standards in accommodation, welfare, and logistics is crucial to guarantee a smooth and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage for Kano State pilgrims.”

It stressed the importance of strict compliance with agreed standards and the timely completion of all necessary arrangements ahead of the Hajj.

The statement reaffirmed the board’s management’s commitment to continue monitoring and improving services to ensure that Kano pilgrims receive optimal support during the 2026 Hajj operations.

It said the inspection was part of a broader strategy to strengthen operational readiness and enhance the overall Hajj experience for pilgrims from the state.
