2027: Osun Accord Party adopts Olawepo-Hashim as presidential candidate

Members of the Accord Party in Osun on Wednesday declared support for Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 election.
The members, who spoke during a rally held in Osogbo, said they had confidence in Mr Olawepo-Hashim’s capacity to lead the party to victory.
Speaking at the rally, the spokesperson for the party in the state, Daniel Adedayo, said the gathering was convened to formally declare support for Mr Olawepo-Hashim.
Mr Adedayo described him as a leader with the vision and experience required to move the country forward.
He added that party members would support Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election in the August 15 governorship poll while backing Olawepo-Hashim for president in 2027.
“Our gathering here today is to declare our support for Olawepo-Hashim as the party’s presidential candidate.
“He is the man the people are waiting for, and we are ready to support him to achieve his aspiration.
“We will vote for Adeleke in the Aug. 15 governorship election, but Olawepo-Hashim is our presidential candidate,” he said.
Also speaking, the party’s women leader, Rukayat Olanrewaju, said the rally was held in solidarity with Mr Olawepo-Hashim.
Ms Olanrewaju said his emergence reflected confidence in his leadership and vision for a united, peaceful, and prosperous Nigeria.
She reiterated that party members would vote massively for Adeleke’s re-election while supporting Mr Olawepo-Hashim in the presidential election.
Party faithful at the rally displayed banners and placards bearing various inscriptions in support of Mr Olawepo-Hashim.
