2027: Tinubu sweeps APC presidential primary in Kwara

He polled a total of 310,990 votes to defeat his sole rival, Stanley Osifo, who secured zero vote.

President Bola Tinubu recorded a sweeping victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary held across Kwara State on Saturday.

Announcing the results, collation officer Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, said Mr Tinubu polled a total of 310,990 votes to defeat his sole  rival, Stanley Osifo, who secured zero vote in the exercise.

“At the end of the voting exercise, the aspirants scored the following votes: Bola Ahmed Tinubu, 310,990. Stanley Osifo, nil,” Mr Abdulrazaq said.

The development came hours after the governorship and other primary elections were conducted across the state.

On Friday, Speaker Yakubu Salihu Danladi, emerged the governorship candidate for the APC in the state having polled the highest votes to defeat his rivals Yahaya Seriki and Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa.
