2027: Zamfara APC vows to deliver state to Tinubu

Kabiru Moyi, chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara, on Wednesday promised President Bola Tinubu unprecedented votes in the 2027 general election.
He assured that the APC would not only win the state but would do so with a wide margin.
Mr Moyi stated this while speaking at a rally organised by APC political groups in appreciation of the recent appointment of Senator Abdul’aziz Yari as director-general of Tinubu’s Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The rally was organised by the Mr Yari political organisation and other political groups in appreciation of Mr Tinubu’s gesture to the state.
Thousands of supporters from across the 14 local government areas of the state participated in the rally, with a walk from the Zamfara Trade Fair Complex to Government House in Gusau.
The APC state chairman afterwards presented a letter of appreciation to Governor Dauda Lawal at the Government House, Gusau.
MrMoyi commended the political groups for organising the rally and for their loyalty and support to the APC.
Receiving the appreciation letter, Mr Lawal, represented by his deputy, Mani Mummuni, said the unprecedented crowd and large number of APC supporters who participated in the walk indicated the popularity of the party in the state.
Mr Lawal expressed confidence that the APC would win all political positions in the state in the 2027 general elections.
“This also indicates the unity and mutual understanding among party leaders, especially Sen. Yari, the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, Gov. Dauda Lawal, and former governors, deputy governors, and former speakers, among others.
“On behalf of the APC leadership in the state, we appreciate President Bola Tinubu for appointing Sen. Yari as Director-General of his Campaign Council,” Mr Lawal said.
Mr Lawal, who described Zamfara as a home of the APC, noted that Yari’s appointment was a great opportunity and honour for the state to showcase its voting strength in the 2027 general elections.
“I believe Yari is capable of delivering the assignment given to him, especially being a grassroots politician with great capacity in national politics,” r Lawal said.
He promised to personally hand over the appreciation letter to the president.
Earlier, Lawal Liman, chairman of the Mr Yari’s group , said the rally was organised to show appreciation to Mr Tinubu over Mr Yari’s appointment as director-general of his Presidential Campaign Council.
“On behalf of the entire party members and supporters, we are going to work for the APC’s success at all levels and positions in the 2027 general elections in the state,” Mr Liman assured.
