Youths in Zamfara, under the umbrella of the City Boy Movement, have declared support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in the 2027 general elections.

An executive board member of the City Boy Movement, Ahmad Yari, said this in Gusau on Saturday at a rally in support of President Tinubu’s second-term bid.

The rally was organised by the City Boy Movement and supported by other political groups in the state.

Thousands of All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters from across the state’s 14 local government areas participated in the rally.

The youth staged a walk from the Zamfara Investment House to Government House, Gusau.

Mr Yari, who appreciated the large turnout of APC members and supporters during the rally, expressed confidence that youths and women in Zamfara would vote for Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

“I want to use this opportunity to officially launch the City Boy Movement in Zamfara with the massive support of APC youths and women groups.

“I want to call on our youths to come out massively and vote for Tinubu, Gov. Dauda Lawal and all other APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.

“I want to express my appreciation for the support, unity and cooperation of the APC leadership at all levels,” Mr Yari said.

He further said, “President Bola Tinubu deserves a second term as president of Nigeria, considering his good policies cutting across education, health, economy and youth empowerment.

“We, the youths, believe in President Tinubu’s policies targeting a better future for Nigerians through the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“President Tinubu deserves a second term and is ever ready to continue to move Nigeria forward.” 

He urged Zamfara youths not to be deceived by propaganda against President Tinubu’s second-term bid.

Also speaking at the rally, the Zamfara coordinator, Grassroots Mobilisers for Tinubu and Shettima 2027, Alhaji Muhammad Adamu, described the gathering as a welcome development.

“We will use various youths and women’s platforms to mobilise people at the grassroots for awareness creation on the importance of the Tinubu-Shettima administration and their re-election.

“Our organisation will take the message to the grassroots, particularly communities where people require direct information about Tinubu and Shettima’s Renewed Hope Agenda and why they should be re-elected,” Mr Adamu explained.

Earlier, the chairman of the rally’s organising committee, Surajo Birnin-Magaji, commended the participants, saying the APC would never be defeated in Zamfara by any political party.
