The United States National Basketball Association (NBA) has announced that the trio of Burnaboy, Tems and Rema will headline the half-time show at the 72nd NBA All-Star Game.
This was announced on Wednesday via a tweet on NBA’s Twitter page.
The event, scheduled for February 17 – 19, will see the Nigerian trio dish out Afrobeat-themed performances.
“GRAMMY award-winning singer, songwriter and record producer @burnaboy, 2023 GRAMMY Award-winning singer and Oscar-nominated singer and producer @temsbaby and rapper and singer @heisrema will headline the NBA All-Star Game 2023 halftime show with an Afrobeats-themed performance,” the post read.
NBA communication also disclosed that the anticipated All-Star Game, which is scheduled to take place at Salt Lake City’s Vivint Arena, will also honour Lebron James for achieving a new feat of surpassing Micheal Jordan as the league’s all-time scorer.
