Tunde Bakare scores zero from 2,203 accredited votes at APC presidential primary

Lagos-based preacher and critic Tunde Bakare did not win a vote at the presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress in Abuja.
Organisers accredited 2,203 delegates for the convention held between June 6 and 8. Mr Bakare, of Citadel Church in Lagos, had paid N100 million to obtain the presidential nomination forms of the ruling party.
He expressed confidence in his victory, saying he was the best for the party. Bola Tinubu is now projected to win the primary election.
Mr Bakare and other aspirants were not permitted to vote in the primary due to the party’s electoral guidelines.
In 2011, Mr Bakare stood as running mate to Muhammadu Buhari. They lost the election to Goodluck Jonathan, who was the incumbent president at the time.
