FG deploys 300 female soldiers to Kaduna-Abuja highway

Meanwhile, Governor Nasir El-Rufai has welcomed the first batch (100) of the female soldiers to Kaduna.

The Nigerian Army has deployed 300 female soldiers to secure the Abuja-Kaduna highway, Channels TV reports.

According to the TV station, the army said it was part of measures to curb banditry and kidnapping along the road and surrounding communities.

Meanwhile, Governor Nasir El-Rufai has welcomed the first batch (100) of the female soldiers to Kaduna.

This is the first time female soldiers would be deployed for internal security operations and have been drafted into the Operation Thunder Strike of the Nigerian Army currently on a special operation in the Kaduna-Abuja axis.
