Tinubu selling “renewed hopelessness” to Nigerians: Atiku

Peoples Democratic Party presidential flag bearer for the 2023 elections, Atiku Abubakar, says his All Progressives Congress counterpart, Bola Tinubu, is selling “renewed hopelessness” to Nigerians.
Mr Atiku made this statement through his spokesman Daniel Bwala who appeared on Channels TV Wednesday night.
“Let me tell what they – Tinubu/Kashim Shettima – are selling to Nigerian people, what they call renewed hopelessness,” Mr Bwala said.
“Let me tell you why it is hopelessness. This current government is government of the APC. The entire manifesto is a campaign against the government. A house divided against itself cannot stand.”
Mr Bwala’s statement comes as a rebuttal to Mr Shettima’s comments, berating Mr Atiku as an incompetent politician who will be retired in next year’s election.
Former vice president Atiku, 75, is squaring off against former ally, Mr Tinubu, 70, for Nigeria’s top job, ahead of other candidates in next year’s general elections.
