The APC deputy national chairman (South), Emma Eneukwu, says the party has performed beyond expectations, urging Nigerians to use Christmas to reflect on its numerous achievements and block former ruling party PDP from regaining power.

Mr Eneukwu said this on Sunday in Enugu in his Christmas message, as part of his commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

“We should use this season to reflect on the achievements of the APC and join in making sure that the enemies of this country, who almost looted and rendered the country dry, did not come back to power.

“I want to urge Nigerians to use this period of commemorating the birth of Christ to reflect on our country and the need to make more positive progress by working hard to deliver APC during the forthcoming general election.

“We must not allow those who almost liquidated our country to get back to power again because, doing so, would mean more troubles.

“It is time to work harder so that APC will continue with her positive reformation agenda for our dear country as we have performed beyond expectations,” he said.

The PDP ruled Nigeria from the advent of the Fourth Republic in 1999 till it lost power to the incumbent APC in 2015.

The former ruling party was vilified for massive corruption, which counted much against it at the 2015 polls but analysts say the incumbent ruling party has not performed better in its fight against graft.
